Responsibilities

• Organizes work schedule and respiratory care for inpatients as ordered.
• Takes verbal orders from physicians regarding respiratory therapy treatment.
• Delivers CPT and breathing exercises.
• Operates devices such as ventilators and gas administration systems.
• Performs arterial blood gases readings and monitors patient response to therapy.
• Documents in patient records and assists in patient transport for testing.
