Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive pulmonary care across adult, pediatric and neonatal patients under physician supervision. You will conduct assessments, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and perform a range of diagnostic and technical procedures throughout the hospital.

The role requires TX RT/RCP licensure, NBRC RRT credentials, BLS, and 1–3 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RT or RCP license in Texas is required.
• NBRC/ RRT certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1–3 years of experience preferred.
• PRN/per diem role with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Code Blue/White emergencies.
• Manage airways including nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning.
• Deliver aerosolized medications.
• Set up and operate ventilators and respiratory equipment.
• Provide oxygen delivery and monitor therapy.
• Perform chest film analysis.
• Collect and analyze blood gases.
• Perform EKG analysis and documentation.
• Maintain clean and stocked equipment; participate in CAP/JC surveys.
