Qualifications

• Must have completed a two year AMA approved program in Respiratory Care.
• Must have a current license for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist by the hire date.
• Must be registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Must have current AHA BLS certification.
• Requires a minimum of two years as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provides Respiratory Care services per department policies.
• Operates mechanical ventilators and monitors patients on ventilation.
• Performs arterial blood gas punctures and analyzes results.
• Maintains patient charts and documents treatments and responses.
• Ensures safety and infection control in all respiratory procedures.
