Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health's Level IV NICU invites experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists to join a nationally recognized academic health system. This role focuses on critical neonatal and pediatric respiratory care in a high-acuity environment, offering growth through specialized education and mentorship.

Qualified candidates will have AS degree, CT license, NBRC registration, and one year of RRT experience in critical care. Prior NICU transport experience not required.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in Respiratory Care (CoARC-accredited) and CT license.
• NBRC registration currently active.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate respiratory care with evidence-based therapies.
• Document services and patient status in EMR with SBAR handoffs.
• Collaborate with the team and mentor staff as needed.
• Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and professional development.
• Assist in neonatal transport as part of the high-acuity NICU team.
