Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, FL seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide bedside care in the ED, Trauma and Critical Care settings. You will deliver, monitor, and adjust respiratory therapies per physician orders and participate in high-acuity care teams.

The ideal candidate holds FL licensure as an RT, has an accredited respiratory therapy program, and current BLS; NICU/PALS/ACLS/NRP credentials are valued for NICU and pediatric areas.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of clinical experience with one (1) year in an area of specialty.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Department Specific Credentials: NRP for NICU, PALS for pediatric areas, ACLS for adult areas.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition.
• Educates the patient and family about the illness and provides information about community support groups and resources.
• Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
• Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
• Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
