Job summary

In this role you will support discharge planning, equipment maintenance, and rapid response participation, collaborating with physicians and the ED team to deliver excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with Ohio Medical Board authorization.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NRP preferred.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the cardiopulmonary department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop a respiratory plan of care with recommendations.
• Initiate, conduct, and evaluate therapeutic procedures and equipment setup.
• Perform ABG draws, analysis, and quality control; monitor test results.
• Assist in discharge planning, patient transport, and equipment maintenance.
• Respond to Code Blue, Code Pink, Rapid Response, and Trauma alerts as needed.
• Provide invasive and noninvasive ventilation and other advanced respiratory care.
• Maintain documentation, billing, and participate in quality and safety activities.
