Job summary

Riverside Healthcare is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care in an acute hospital setting. You will assess patients, administer therapies, and manage ventilator support in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Demonstrated skills in respiratory assessment and ventilation management.
• Strong ability to interpret ABGs and perform diagnostic tests as ordered.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory status and monitor lung sounds and oxygenation.
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosols, and mechanical ventilation per protocol.
• Adjust ventilator settings and manage airway devices as needed.
• Perform ABGs and PFTs to aid diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist with intubation/extubation when required.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
• Document assessments, treatments, and outcomes in electronic health records.
• Maintain respiratory equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
