Qualifications

• Accredited Respiratory Therapy program required.
• BLS American Heart Association (AHA) E-Card.
• NRP/PALS/ACLS certifications per department requirements.
• Florida license as Respiratory Therapist (RT).
• Two years of experience in acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to codes and provides emergent assistance.
• Educates patient and family about illness and community resources.
• Maintains minimum scheduling requirements.
• Evaluates and updates respiratory care policies based on outcomes and research.
• Delivers and assesses therapy per plan of care.
• Monitors and documents patient condition and communicates status.
