Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Virginia.
• NBRC RRT certification required (within 3 months for new grads).
• AHA BLS certification required.
• NBRC specialty credentials may be required within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care therapies per physician orders and protocols.
• Assess respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Manage mechanical ventilation, oxygen delivery, and airway devices.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to plan care.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and therapies.
• Document care consistently to support quality and safety.
