Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care department. You will provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical setting, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and standards.

Required qualifications include ACLS, NIHSS, BSN or higher, and Florida RN license; new grads must complete the BSN within the policy timeframe.

Qualifications

• Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Require successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of employment.
• RN graduate from an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program; BSN required within specified timeframe for new hires after 2012.
• Require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire for experienced RNs and within six (6) months of hire date for new grad RNs.
• Require NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 90 days of employment for experienced RNs and within six (6) months for new grads RNs.
