MedStar Medical Group at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center,an academic teaching hospital with residents, is seeking to hire a split Critical Care/Pulmonary Intensivist to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland.The ICU consists of a Medical Critical Care Unit and a Level 1 Neuro Critical Care unit. The Medical Unit is staffed by Intensivists and Residents. The Neuro Critical Care unit is staffed by dedicated Neuro-Intensivists and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The Pulmonary department is staffed by Pulmonologists, Advanced Practice Providers, and Respiratory Therapists.
Standard shift expectations this full-time split position is approximately 6 (12-hour) ICU shifts and 9 (8-hour) Pulmonary shifts per month. Proportion of split may be flexible. The Medical ICU Team consists of 2 day-time Critical Care physicians, and one night-time physician.
Clinical responsibilities of the critical care physician include multidisciplinary rounding within our intensive care units, triage, new patient admissions, and standard critical care procedures. Pulmonologist responsibilities include inpatient pulmonary consultations and outpatient pulmonary clinic. During non-clinical weeks, providers are encouraged to participate in departmental activities. MedStar Health offers considerable opportunities in research and leadership development.
Requirements:Valid MD medical license, American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification, and board certification in Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Disease.

The hiring range for this position is between $330,000- $373,000.
