Sound Physicians invites you to join our Eugene-Springfield intensivist team at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Riverbend. This 351-bed regional center with a level II trauma designation offers diverse, high-acuity ICU cases and close collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.

We seek board-certified/eligible critical care physicians committed to clinical service excellence, with EPIC proficiency and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in critical care medicine.
• Ability to work collaboratively within the ICU and across hospital departments.
• Commitment to clinical service excellence with strong problem-solving skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States; not accepting 2027 fellows.

Responsibilities

• Care for medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients.
• Collaborate with daytime intensivists, APPs, nursing, respiratory therapists, consultants and hospitalists.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care services; EMR: EPIC.

Local Team Collaboration

• Join our team of 8 intensivists & 4 APPs.
• PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Riverbend is a 351-bed state-of-the-art regional medical center and level II trauma center.
• We have diverse cases and high acuity, an ideal environment for those looking to care for all types of critically ill patients. We see everything but transplants and burns.
• Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Phenomenal team leadership and culture, with many of our team members active in several committees including stroke, sepsis, and practice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible critical care physicians (MD or DO).
• Ability to perform all technical skills in the critical care setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively within the ICU with all team members and across the hospital.
• A commitment to excellence in clinical service, with strong problem-solving abilities essential for the ICU setting.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Not considering 2027 fellows at this time.

Scheduling

• 14 clinical shifts per month with roughly 1/3 night shifts.
• 2 intensivists & 2 APP’s on 12-hour day shift (7AM-7PM).Nights are covered by 2 intensivists (7PM-7AM).
• We collaborate to manage the schedule as equitably as possible, ensuring intensivists achieve an outstanding work/family life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Care for medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac ICU patients.
• Work collaboratively with daytime intensivists, APP’s, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, consultants, and hospitalist team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care services.
• EMR: EPIC.

• Comprehensive compensation and benefits package including commencement bonus, relocation, CME allowance, 401k match, and health insurance.
• Full-time intensivists pay is $487,200 working 168 shifts annually.
