HDA MD Staff is seeking a Physician Assistant to cover an ICU unit in Massachusetts. The role focuses on standard ICU and medical-surgical care, with no procedures required and a collaborative rounding model with attending physicians.

Flexible day or night shifts are available to fit the schedule, including some weekend coverage as needed. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in critical care, current ACLS/BLS, and MA licensure or eligibility, plus Active DEA registration.

Qualifications

Schedule: Flexible scheduling with 6am-7pm or 6pm-7am shift options (days or nights available). Preference for 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). Minimum requirement of 2 weekend shifts per month. Provider does not need to work 3×13-hour shifts every week.

Requirements:

• Physician Assistant (PA) only – NPs cannot be considered due to extended licensing timeframes
• Active or ability to obtain Massachusetts state license (3-5 week processing time for PAs)
• Board Certification in Acute Care required
• Minimum 2+ years of critical care/ICU experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Active DEA registration required
