Job summary

Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist - MICU to advance critical care services, provide direct patient care, pharmacotherapy monitoring, and staff education in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, develop protocols, participate in rounds, and mentor residents and students, with a schedule supporting work-life balance and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Completion of a PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency, or equivalent experience.
• Registration as a pharmacist in the District of Columbia, or eligibility for registration through reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Manage and advance clinical pharmacy services for critically ill patients in the MICU.
• Serve as a critical care pharmacotherapy resource for the healthcare team.
• Provide direct patient care: comprehensive med management, PK/PD monitoring, ADE surveillance, education.
