The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of medical terminology, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope.
• Understanding of safety in healthcare and patient needs.
• BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed staff.
• Promotes a safe patient care environment and maintains cleanliness.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds promptly to call lights.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed.
