Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a seasoned Critical Care Paramedic to deliver high-level patient care during incidents and transports, while also contributing to training, research, and program development. You will assist in protocol design and educational curricula, with emphasis on safety and evidence-based practice.

The role requires a strong clinical background, ongoing education, and the ability to travel to support Lifeguard EMS activities across facilities.

Qualifications

• Current State of Rhode Island EMT-Paramedic license with a minimum of five years field EMS experience.
• Current Paramedic certification through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (instructor status preferred).
• CCEMTP and/or FP-C, ATLS (audit), BTLS, PHTLS and NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care at incident scenes and during critical care transport under physician supervision.
• Participates in training of emergency care personnel and curricula development.
• Assists in development of patient care protocols and research procedures.
• Maintains documentation per Rhode Island Hospital and Rhode Island Department of Health guidelines.
