Kennedy Medical Group, Practice, PC in Voorhees, New Jersey seeks an Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for inpatient care in an acute hospital setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team and provide comprehensive care on the inpatient service.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in nursing or related field.
• National Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete history and physicals and documents in the medical record.
• Orders and collects data using assessment techniques and diagnostic procedures.
• May serve as first responder for patient status changes and perform required interventions.
• Assesses risks in care of acute and complex chronically ill patients and monitors meds, immobility, nutrition, fluids, and immunocompetence.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to diagnose acute and chronic conditions and manage tests.
• Formulates plan of care with measurable outcomes and applies evidence-based guidelines across care continuum.
• Prescribes diagnostic strategies and therapeutic interventions and may perform advanced procedures.
• Maintains ongoing communication with care team and with patients and families to ensure continuity of care.
• Documents progress via progress notes, discharge summaries, and relevant clinic notes.
• Demonstrates professional practice through mentoring, education, and engagement in research and meetings.
