Job summary

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Staff Nurse in a Critical Care Float Pool role. The RN will plan and provide patient care for high-acuity patients, respond to emergencies, and lead emergency responses such as Rapid Response, Code Blue, and Code Stroke.

The position requires a BSN, MA RN licensure, 1–2 years ICU experience, BLS and ACLS, and adherence to CARE standards.

Job Summary

Schedule: 36 Nights, Every 3rd weekend and Holiday Commitment

The Staff Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. Demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. Ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager, or supervisor. Assures the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice.

This is a Critical Care Float Pool RN role and is responsible to respond to emergencies in any department. This role acts as the lead for all patient care emergency responses including but not limited to Rapid Response, Code Blue, Code Stroke, and out-patient Code Blue calls.
