A nationally recognized children’s hospital is seeking Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for a full-time role in their Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This position involves providing direct care for critically ill pediatric patients, managing post-operative congenital cardiac cases, and working alongside a multidisciplinary team. Ideal candidates will have a passion for pediatric critical care and possess the required certifications. Qualifications

• Active Virginia NP or PA license is required.
• CPNP-AC or Acute Care certification is mandatory.
• 1–3 years experience in PICU, critical care, or acute pediatric settings is preferred.
• Interest or experience in cardiac intensive care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Manage post-operative congenital cardiac and CVICU-level patients.
• Participate in trauma, ECMO, and complex medical cases.
• Collaborate with intensivists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.

A nationally recognized children’s hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join a high-acuity, 32-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This full‑time role supports critically ill medical, surgical, trauma, ECMO, and congenital cardiac patients in the Commonwealth’s only free‑standing children’s hospital.

This position is ideal for clinicians with a passion for pediatric critical care, complex cardiac patients, and collaborative, academic‑style practice.

What You’ll Do
