Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist seeks a PA or ACNP to provide expert critical care in our ICU settings across Winston-Salem and surrounding campuses. The role includes coordinating care with intensivists, performing essential critical care procedures, and delivering comprehensive evaluation and management for a broad range of critical illnesses.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or equivalent for PA/NP roles.
• Current NC Medical Board license or Nurse Practitioner license.
• NCCPA certification for PA or ANCC/AANP board certification for NP.
• DEA registration and current BLS/ACLS.
• Minimum of one year in critical care or urgent/emergent care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage critically ill patients in medical/surgical ICU settings.
• Collaborate with ICU physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Order, interpret labs and diagnostics; explain procedures to patients and families.
• Perform central venous catheter insertions, dialysis, arterial line placement, and endotracheal intubation.
• Coordinate care across intensivist and consulting teams; prepare patients for ICU discharge.
