Job summary

The U.S. Air Force seeks a Critical Care Medicine physician to provide life-saving care for critically ill or injured patients, with a focus on rapid identification and treatment of life-threatening conditions.

You’ll examine, diagnose and treat patients using surgical and nonsurgical approaches, and coordinate care in high-stress environments. Training and education pathways transform you from civilian medicine to Air Force leadership.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathic medicine

Responsible for making life-and-death decisions, Air Force Critical Care Medicine physicians provide comprehensive care for critically ill or injured patients. Trained to quickly identify and treat symptoms, these specialists prevent further medical complications to help critical care patients on the road to recovery.

What you’ll do
