Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System seeks experienced registered nurses to provide professional nursing care in collaboration with physicians and a healthcare team. The role includes nursing assessments, exams, treatment support, patient education, and medical records maintenance.

RNs are hired based on experience level (RN I–RN IV). The position requires a nursing degree and Texas licensure with BLS certification; additional unit-specific certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
• Current Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients according to the nursing skills inventory and patient needs
• Coordinates planning for the delivery of nursing care with an interdisciplinary team
• Collaborates with healthcare team and delegates tasks to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Coordinates treatment plans and develops discharge and transfer plans
• Participates in systemwide evaluation of programs and process improvements
• Ensures care aligns with regulatory standards and Memorial Hermann policies; supports education and precepting of staff
• Promotes compassionate, personalized experiences for patients and colleagues
• Performs other duties as assigned within scope and competency
