Job summary

Phelps Health is seeking a Critical Care Float Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care across ICU, Emergency Department, and medical-surgical units depending on hospital needs. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Missouri RN license or Compact Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required; NIHSS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows hospital safety policies for infection prevention and patient handling.
• Administers medications and provides nursing interventions and family teaching.
• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status and inform the care plan.
• Documents all patient care activities to support quality measures and clinical decisions.
• Communicates patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.
• Engages with patients and families to provide education and support health care outcomes.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and pursues continuing education.
