Shift:

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.
• 12 months of travel experience is preferred.
• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Connecticut license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 24 months cannot be submitted.

There are 9 critical care units and 7 step down units across two campuses. The service lines include: MICU CTICU, SICU CICU, NICU

Special Requests:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Shift & Scheduling:

3x12 or 4x12s available

Every Other Weekend

Floating Requirement:

Travelers will float between 2 campuses (5 ICU specialties) Yale New Haven Hospital and the Saint Raphael campus, they share a parking lot and a shuttle is provided if needed.

Float to 5 ICU specialties and step downs.

Must float to step down as needed including a pulmonary stepdown unit with ratios 1/3

This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027, 01/18/2027, 05/31/2027, 07/04/2027, 09/06/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
