Job summary

Trusted Health is seeking an experienced travel nurse for a 26-week assignment in New York. This program allows direct application to jobs without recruiters, increasing transparency and earnings.

Shifts rotate day and night (7p–7:30a and 7a–7:30p) with every other weekend; nurses may float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU and other units. Massachusetts license required after submission; ACLS/BLS/NIH Stroke Scale certs may be needed.

Qualifications

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.
• Experience with Meditech is required.
• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.
• Candidates must have a Massachusetts license (required after submission).

Responsibilities

• Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units.
• Shift patterns are rotating day/night: 7p–7:30a and 7a–7:30p with 4-week blocks; every other weekend is required.
• Floating occurs in 4 hour blocks; 14 days maximum time off.
• Follow pre-employment/modules requirements and provide health records/certifications.

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as a traveler at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details

Required Skills/Experience:If no prior travel, Level 1 trauma experience will be required.

Special Requests:Christmas time off will not be approved.Must be separated from BILH for a minimum of 6 months to be considered, including prior permanent, per diem, or contract employment.

Shift & Scheduling:Rotating day/night shifts run 7p-7:30a and 7a-7:30p and change from days to nights in 4 week blocks.Every other weekend is required: day-shift weekends are Saturday and Sunday; night-shift weekends are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.Weekly start dates are on Mondays.

Floating Requirements:The clinician will be expected to float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units.Floating occurs in 4 hour blocks while on shift; floating every 4 hours is rare but could happen.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
