The ICU Float Fellowship at ChristianaCare offers experienced Registered Nurses a path into critical care, with 24-26 weeks of combined classroom and hands-on ICU rotations.

Fellows will rotate through Neuro, Surgical, Cardiovascular ICUs and MICU, join the ICU Float Pool after completion, and benefit from comprehensive benefits and dedicated mentorship within a four-time Magnet recognized system.

About the ICU Float Fellowship

This immersive 24-26 week fellowship program combines classroom instruction with extensive clinical experiences to prepare nurses for the fast-paced and rewarding world of critical care nursing. Throughout the program, Fellows will work alongside experienced ICU nurses while rotating through ChristianaCare's specialized critical care environments, including:

• Neuro Critical Care Complex
• Surgical Critical Care Complex
• Cardiovascular Critical Care Complex
• Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Wilmington Intensive Care Unit
• Progressive Care, Step-Down, and Transitional Care Units

Upon successful completion, participants will join ChristianaCare's ICU Float Pool, providing critical support across multiple specialty care areas.

Who Should Apply?

This fellowship is designed exclusively for experienced Registered Nurses who aspire to transition into critical care nursing.

Please note: New graduate nurses are not eligible for this fellowship. Selected participants will commit to approximately two years of service within ChristianaCare's ICU Float Pool following successful completion of the program.

Hourly Pay Range

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
