University of Iowa Health Care is seeking skilled staff nurses for the Nursing Float Pool (Tier 2) covering Adult Critical Care Services at multiple Iowa City campuses. The role involves 60%-90% time with 24-36 hours weekly, day shifts, and weekend/holiday requirements.

Compensation includes a sign-on incentive up to $12,500 and a SEIU PD20 pay plan with an additional $7/hr. on all hours worked. Applicants must have 2+ years ICU experience and Iowa nursing license.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of current experience in Adult Critical Care/ICU
• Current Iowa nursing license by date of hire
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with multiple databases including Microsoft Excel

Aufgaben

• Assess patient health, plan and implement nursing care across settings
• Develop and adjust patient care plans based on condition and family input
• Coordinate transfer/discharge planning within the care episode
• Document interventions and patient/family response
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe care environment
• Perform 'just in time' assignments and flex census as needed
• Float between MCU and MCD campuses as required
• Follow unit policies and universal precautions
