A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Critical Care Transport Paramedic to deliver patient care during transport flights. The role involves critical care responsibilities within a dynamic environment, requiring strong teamwork and adherence to safety protocols. Job Summary: Provides Critical Care Transport Paramedic (CCTP) level of care, within the scope of Act 37, to Life Flight patients in conjunction with the Flight Nurse. The Critical Care Transport Paramedic functions as a non-essential team member in Geisinger Emergency Departments and assists healthcare providers in delivering care to Emergency Department patients as needed. The role requires providing care for patients from birth to over 100 years old.
Work Environment: Works in and around aircraft, exposed to infectious diseases, chemical toxins, noise, vibration, fumes, and extreme temperatures. May require sitting for long periods. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Travel may be required. Cannot exceed 250 lbs in flight gear.
Position Details: Requires graduation from a Specialty Training Program and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience. Certification(s) and licenses as specified.
