Job summary

Metro Life Flight, part of The MetroHealth System and affiliated with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, OH, seeks an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP/ACNP) to join its critical care transport program.

You will provide advanced critical care aboard helicopter and ground units, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to transport critically ill patients to tertiary centers.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) program.
• Current Ohio RN and APRN licensure and national board certification.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Eligibility for clinical privileges through The MetroHealth System.
• Critical care, emergency medicine, trauma, or transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, stabilize, and manage critically ill and injured adult and pediatric patients during transport.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for time-sensitive conditions.
• Manage mechanical ventilation, invasive monitoring, vasoactive meds, blood products, and advanced therapies.
• Perform/assist with advanced critical care procedures within scope and competencies.
• Collaborate with EMS agencies, trauma teams, intensivists, surgeons, and specialty services.
