Job summary

MMT Ambulance is seeking a Critical Care EMT Basic to join our CedarOhio North Cleveland operations. The role focuses on direct patient care during ambulance transport, equipment checks, and station upkeep. Candidates should have EMT experience, drive in emergency settings, and hold current CPR.

The ideal applicant has a valid driver's license and a good driving record, with ICS 100/200 and PHTLS/ITLS or willingness to obtain within one year. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of EMT experience.
• 1.5 years of emergency driving experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• ICS 100 and ICS 200 or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• PHTLS or ITLS or willingness to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilize medical equipment to assess patients and perform basic life support.
• Develop triage skills to provide efficient care during calls.
• Assist the CCT team with preparation of advanced life support equipment.
• Provide patient care according to protocols and safety rules.
• Lift and move patients as needed for optimal care.
• Communicate with patients and families with empathy and clarity.
• Safely drive the ambulance to minimize response time.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and stock for prompt response.
