CHRISTUS Health seeks an Emergency Medical Technician EMS to provide emergency medical care, operate an advanced life support ambulance, and support equipment checks and on‑scene coordination. The role includes leading responders, ensuring safety and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities include responding to a variety of emergencies, coordinating with physicians, and maintaining documentation and inventory aboard ambulances.

Responsibilities

• Responds to life‑threatening situations, emergency medical situations and non‑emergency calls.
• Coordinates response activities with physicians to develop a plan of care.
• Leads a team of responders by directing triage, treatment planning and patient transport.
• Checks and maintains emergency medical equipment and supplies aboard vehicles.
• Assists in cleaning station locations and maintaining sanitary conditions.
• Interacts with firefighters, law enforcement and other non‑medical personnel on scenes.
• Performs required documentation and regulatory compliance duties (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
• Handles hazardous materials and ensures proper disposal and safety practices.
