Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a Critical Care EMS Instructor to lead and deliver EMS courses including ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC. The role involves engaging with EMT-paramedics and hospital clinicians to ensure high‑quality education and patient care, while supporting the EMS Education Division in curriculum development and delivery.

Associates degree required with 3+ years in critical care or EMS settings, and current state nursing or paramedic licensure along with instructor certifications will be

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Minimum three years of work experience in a hospital critical care or EMS setting.
• Current Minnesota or Wisconsin nursing licensure/certification or paramedic certification and an instructor certification (BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC).

Responsibilities

• Instruct EMS courses such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC.
• Interact with pre-hospital providers (EMT-paramedics) and in-hospital providers (physicians, nurses, etc.).
• Assist EMS Education Division with development and delivery of education.

The Critical Care EMS Instructor is responsible for instructing various “merit” badge EMS courses depending on certification including: ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC.The position will interact with pre-hospital providers (EMT-paramedics) as well as in-hospital providers (physicians, residents, nurses, other allied health, etc.). The position will assist the EMS Education Division as needed with the development and delivery of education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Associates degree in any field

Experience:

Minimum three (3) work experience in a hospital critical care or EMS setting.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

• Current Minnesota or Wisconsin nurse certification/licensure required or paramedic
  • One of the following instructor certifications- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.
