Job summary

Claiborne Medical Center, a member of Covenant Health, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Critical Care Unit. This full-time night shift position supports RNs with direct patient care, ADLs, and technical tasks for a group of patients.

You will perform vital signs, assist with transports, and participate in care activities while adhering to infection control and patient safety policies. Tennessee CNA license required; CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification/license required to practice in Tennessee.
• Experience delivering direct patient care and assisting with ADLs is preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to read and follow Plan of Care.

Responsibilities

• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and intake–output.
• Assist patients with turning, coughing, deep breathing, and incentive spirometry.
• Ambulate and assist patients in and out of bed, to wheelchairs, or transports as needed.
• Provide morning/evening care including hygiene, grooming, and changing bed linens.
• Maintain a safe patient environment and report equipment issues to the RN.
