ST BERNARDS MEDICAL CENTER is seeking an intensivist APN/PA-C for an ICU position on a 7 on/7 off schedule. The role requires ICU experience, AR license, and prescriptive privileges. BLS and ACLS are required, with AR state board licensure for APRN or PA candidates. Two years RN experience, including ICU, is expected.

The intensivist program emphasizes collaborative care and direct patient management in a high-acuity ICU setting, with a focus on patient safety and coordinated discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Physician Assistant candidates licensed by the Arkansas State Medical Board are also considered.
• Two years of experience as an RN with at least one year in the ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for complex critically ill adults in the ICU.
• Collaborate with Intensivist, pulmonary or critical care physicians and the covering hospitalist.
• Perform physical exams, collect data, order labs and consultations, and document care.
• Prescribe interventions and medications, coordinate patient care and discharge, ensure quality care.
