Job summary

North Texas Critical Care (NTCC) is seeking experienced Acute Care NP or PA providers to join a high-acuity team serving Cardiovascular and Surgical ICUs in North Texas hospitals.

The role offers autonomous practice, collaboration with intensivists and transplant teams, and 13-hour shifts with rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be AGACNP or PA certified with Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AGACNP or PA program with board certification.
• Board-Certified Acute Care NP (AGACNP) or Physician Assistant.
• Minimum two years of Critical Care, Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and/or Cardiothoracic ICU experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ICU management and critically ill surgical patients.
• Ability to work autonomously within the Critical Care team.
• Ability to work a 13-hour shift, rotating schedule of days, nights, weekends, and holidays (approximately 13 shifts per month).
• Active Texas license in good standing.
• Active DEA registration.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous, around-the-clock care in Cardiovascular and Surgical ICUs.
• Collaborate with intensivists, cardiothoracic surgeons, transplant teams, and multidisciplinary specialists.
• Manage a diverse, high-acuity patient population including critically ill surgical and transplant cases.
• Participate in rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure continuous coverage.

North Texas Critical Care (NTCC) is expanding and seeking exceptional Advanced Practice Providers to join our highly specialized team working autonomously to provide around-the-clock care in the Cardiovascular and Surgical ICUs at leading North Texas hospitals.

Our team manages some of the region's most complex surgical and critically ill patients, including those recovering from heart and lung transplantation, major cardiothoracic surgery, ECMO support, trauma, and complex surgical interventions.
