Job summary

Cooper University Health Care seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for acute/critical care in a full-time role. The APP will collaborate with intensivists to manage ICU patients, perform histories and exams, and prescribe therapies per guidelines.

New graduates may be considered with motivation to learn and develop independence, working daytime shifts with some night rotation. NJ licensure is required for APRN or PA.

Qualifications

• Licensed, registered and has completed specialized graduate or doctoral education, and nationally certified.
• Functions within the scope of practice as defined by state nursing practice act and supervising physician.
• Autonomous practice with collaboration as needed and ability to assess, diagnose and manage patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care assessment and management for ICU patients.
• Order, perform, supervise, and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications per guidelines.
• Collaborate with Cooper intensivists to manage patients and participate in procedures as needed.
• Demonstrate health promotion, disease prevention, and education to patients and families.
