Job summary

Synthego is seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Associate II to join our operations team in Redwood City. You will independently execute established laboratory and production workflows, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate across functions to support production timelines.

The role requires 1+ year of relevant experience, an AA in Chemistry or biotech certification, and knowledge of lab safety and quality protocols.

Qualifications

• AA in Chemistry or biotech-related certification is required.
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, production, or laboratory settings.
• Understanding of safety, quality, and production protocols is expected.
• Ability to maintain accurate production documentation and escalate issues when needed.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Independently follow SOPs to set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Execute established laboratory workflows including preparation, processing, and documentation.
• Monitor production work, record results, and escalate issues appropriately.
• Capture production data and maintain documentation per lab and quality standards.
• Review production records for accuracy before handoff or submission.
• Support multiple workflows and adapt to changing priorities.
• Maintain inventory of lab products, reagents, and supplies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet production timelines.
• Train or assist team members on lab and production processes when qualified.
