Job summary

The Providence Center, affiliated with Care New England, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary team in Rhode Island. This role offers a balanced clinical mix, with 50% of time in the Crisis Stabilization Unit at Butler Hospital and 50% in our outpatient setting.

The CSU provides short-term, intensive support for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric and/or substance use crises, with a focus on stabilization and safe

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Certified by ANCC or AANPCB.
• Active Rhode Island APRN, RN, CSR, and DEA license or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide PMHNP clinical care in the Crisis Stabilization Unit and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with nurse managers, therapists, social workers, and pharmacists.
• Maintain documentation in Epic EMR and ensure high-quality behavioral health care.
• Balance 50% CSU focus with 50% outpatient treatment responsibilities.

The Providence Center (TPC), an affiliate of Care New England, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary team. This exciting opportunity offers a balanced clinical role, with 50% of your time dedicated to the Crisis Stabilization Unit at Butler Hospital and 50% in our outpatient treatment setting. The CSU provides short-term, intensive support for individuals experiencing acute psychiatric and/or substance use crises that may otherwise require hospitalization. Serving as an alternative to hospitalization or a step-down between levels of care, the CSU focuses on stabilizing individuals and addressing their mental health and substance use needs. Join a compassionate team committed to delivering innovative, high-quality behavioral health care to underserved populations throughout Rhode Island.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 m.–4:30 p.m., with dedicated administrative time with rotational compensated call ( one per quarter)
• 50% crisis stabilization and 50% outpatient
• Approximately 13 patients per day
• Work alongside nurse managers, therapists, social workers, and pharmacists.
• Epic electronic medical record implemented system-wide.

Requirements
