Job summary

Sound Behavioral Health in Kent, WA is hiring a crisis stabilization counselor to support individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health or substance use needs across South King and Pierce County. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with flexible scheduling within 7:00am–7:00pm.

Responsibilities include crisis response during hours and on-call, collaboration with clinical staff, case management, discharge planning, and community liaison work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required for this role.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of directly related clinical experience as clinician or case manager is preferred.
• Direct clinical experience with minority and low-income individuals and families is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis response during working hours and on-call basis.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to implement assessment interventions.
• Participate with case management to address symptoms and behaviors.
• Serve as a link between Sound, families, guardians, and community resources.
• Develop and revise Prevention and Intervention Plans with the treatment team.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals to follow-up resources.
• Attend staff meetings, supervision, and committees; pursue continuing education.
• Provide consultation/education services to other organizations as appropriate.
