Job summary

Heartland Family Service in Papillion, Nebraska, is seeking a licensed clinician to join the Crisis Stabilization and Resource Center. This position focuses on rapid assessments, stabilization, and linkage to aftercare using evidence-based practices.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and help clients regain stability through individualized treatment and community referrals.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• Nebraska licensure: LIMHP, LMHP, or LCSW is required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
• 2+ years of clinical experience, especially in crisis or inpatient settings, preferred.
• Experience with co-occurring disorders and diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive adult mental health assessments within 24 hours of admission.
• Co-create individualized stabilization plans centering the client voice and needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches.
• Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation in real time.
• Mentor and train direct care staff in therapeutic tools and approaches.
• Collaborate with families and community partners to ensure aftercare linkage.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and treatment summaries.
• Champion referrals to internal programs and external community resources.

About The Crisis Stabilization And Resource Center (CSRC)

The CSRC is a voluntary, residential-based stabilization program a 3-to-5-day bridge between crisis and community. Clients arrive in their most vulnerable moments and leave with a plan, a sense of safety, and renewed hope. The program provides:

• Daily access to therapy, medication management, and case management
• A safe, secure environment designed to de-escalate and stabilize
• Individualized outpatient resources and community referrals
• Limited respite bed availability for individuals who need a moment to regroup

Compensation: $70,000 per year

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.

• Collaborate with team members, families, and community partners to build a strong aftercare bridge
• Maintain timely, high-quality clinical documentation (stabilization plans, progress otes, treatment summaries)
• Champion referrals to internal HFS programs and external community resources

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
