Job summary

Oaklawn Psychiatric Center in Goshen, IN is seeking a Crisis Services Nurse (LPN or RN) for 12-hour shifts from 8a to 8p. This role supports individuals with mental health needs and provides care in a compassionate, team-based setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Indiana LPN or RN license.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a crisis setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals for admission using a medical stability approach.
• Assess physical health, using a brief health assessment.
• Deliver care for minor physical health challenges.
• Collect vitals, medical, and substance use history.
• Treat minor wounds.
• Administer medication with orders from the center provider.
• Facilitate escalation of care when clinically indicated.
• Help develop and refine center policies and procedures.
• Document all necessary information in patient charts.
• Other duties as assigned.
