Job summary

HopeLink Behavioral Health is seeking a 988 Learning and Development Specialist (Coach) to supervise Crisis Services staff, oversee performance, and drive professional growth. The role covers onboarding through retention, with formal supervision, evaluations, and ongoing coaching to sustain a high-performing team.

The position is hybrid, with on-site requirements up to 24 hours weekly at the Oakton Office, and a salary of $58,000–$66,560 per year plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field and 1 year of direct supervisory experience in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, or behavioral health.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience can substitute for degree requirement.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, trauma-informed care, and de-escalation techniques.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7/365 environment and maintain self-care.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time coaching, supervision, and escalation support while maintaining direct service coverage as needed.
• Deliver individual and group supervision, ongoing performance feedback, coaching, and annual evaluations for all assigned staff.
• Lead weekly communities of practice and case staffing to build staff skills.
• Promote staff wellness through debriefing, recognition, and resilience-building.
• Collaborate with program leadership on workflow improvements, compliance, and quality initiatives.
• Maintain understanding of frontline work with 3 hours of direct service weekly.
• Perform other duties to support HopeLink's mission and 24/7/365 operations.
