Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an Emergency Screener I to support mental health services in the Miami area. The part-time professional will conduct crisis screenings in schools and crisis units, process paperwork, and coordinate with agencies. A bachelor’s in a mental health field and one year of experience are required.

CPR certification and a Florida driver’s license are mandatory. Strong communication, confidentiality, and documentation skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Community Mental Health or related field.
• One year experience in a Mental Health setting.
• Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of Crisis Screening Assessments; ability to communicate treatment issues verbally and in writing.
• Understand Confidentiality Laws and Patient’s Rights; familiarity with HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Complete interviews with clients in the School's Health Suite, CSU and Detox units; complete all required paperwork.
• Determine client’s eligibility for Baker Act funding.
• Provide patient care under supervision of clinical staff.
• Attend daily reports.
• Maintain proficiency in the Patient Information System.
• Engage with families and coordinate with community agencies to support client independence.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Document treatment plans and ensure timely charting.
