Salary Range: $17.36 To $24.25 Hourly
The Mental Health Specialist I is a member of the multi-disciplinary team who provides quality care for Homestead and South Dade High Schools along with the Crisis Stabilization Unit. He or She provides Crisis Screening Assessments within the CSU when needed. He or She works within the High Schools and the CSU in accordance with Standards of State and Federal Regulations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Community Mental Health or related field. One year experience in a Mental Health setting.
Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.
Demonstrates knowledge of Crisis Screening Assessments. Ability to communicate treatment issues verbally and in writing. Candidate understands Confidentiality Laws and Patient’s Rights. Can participate in physical restraints procedures using NAPPI Techniques.
