This unit is located at Jefferson Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Schedule Commitment

Full Time: 8-hour shifts, 64-80 hours biweekly, every other weekend and holiday, shifts from 7a-3p, 3p-11p, or 11p-7a.

Part Time: 8-hour shifts, 32-40 hours biweekly, same weekend and holiday schedule, same shift times.

PRN: 8-hour shifts, every other weekend and holiday.

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The position requires commitment to the scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Mental Health/Behavioral Health Techs will:

• Assist RNs in delivering care and observing patient behaviors.
• Report and document changes in patient mood or behavior promptly.
• Provide one-on-one sessions with assigned patients as needed.

Maintain a full patient caseload with an assigned primary nurse in an inpatient setting, providing effective and compassionate care.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 college credits; a full college degree is preferred.
• BS or BA in behavioral health is preferred.
• One year of experience with behavioral health clients is preferred.
• BLS certification through AHA is required.
• Training in PEAT and ability to safely schedule and restrain an aggressively acting out patient are required.
