Job summary

Youth Villages is seeking a Crisis Response Counselor to perform mobile crisis response and risk assessments for youth and families in their natural environments. You will collaborate with families, partners, and clinical teams to stabilize cases and provide ongoing intervention.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a social services field or current graduate enrollment, with licensure pursuit preferred. A flexible schedule and field-based work characterize this important program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services discipline or current graduate enrollment.
• Provisional licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT) or licensure in progress preferred.
• Experience working with at-risk youth and/or families.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides mobile crisis response and thorough, strength-based assessment of youth and families in their environments.
• Collaborates with families, youth, and community partners to evaluate risk and plan stabilization.
• Attends weekly meetings for professional development and quarterly booster training.
• Completes accurate documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Maintains flexibility and works in a supervised, dynamic team setting.

The program offers thorough, strength-based assessments and crisis management to ensure the safety of the youth and others involved. Families, community members, and providers can reach out for support regardless of whether the youth is currently receiving services from Youth Villages.SCS staff work closely with the youth, their family, and key community partners to evaluate risk factors and develop an immediate plan for stabilization. Services are provided in the home or community to offer timely, accessible support during a crisis.
