Job summary

UCSF in Oakland is seeking a CRBC Clinician to evaluate, treat and assess patients with serious behavioral health needs. Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related area or equivalent experience.
• Licensed in behavioral health discipline.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Skill in providing individual, group, and family therapy.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with profession.
• Basic knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
• Effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening and counseling skills.
• Skills in collaborating with interdisciplinary team and healthcare providers.
• Knowledge of business software and electronic/medical records systems used in behavioral health clinics/clinical departments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, treat and assess patients with mental health disorders.
• Autonomy in 5150 evaluations and emergency behavioral health assessments.
• Determine level of care and interventions with patients and families.
• Collaborate with medical, social work, and nursing staff to plan care.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment teams.
• Assist with short-term therapeutic goals; utilize crisis management tools.
• Provide psychotherapeutic treatment for severely disturbed, high-risk cases.
