Crisis & Referral Specialist

Location: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions, providing maximum flexibility and autonomy. Candidates must reside in the state of LOUISIANA to be considered.

We operate 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Training will be conducted Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm CST. Available Work Schedules:

  • Friday - Tuesday 4pm - 12:30am CST
  • Tuesday - Saturday 4pm - 12:30am CST

Role Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound calls from individuals in need of support or in crisis.
  • Perform safety screenings and assessments to identify risk levels.
  • Develop action plans based on assessments and collaborate with individuals.
  • Document interactions accurately and timely.
  • Provide linkage follow-up to ensure access to services.
  • Coordinate with agencies and organizations to optimize resource use.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulations.
Minimum Requirements
  • HS diploma or equivalent, with at least 1 year in behavioral health or 6 months of crisis experience, including screenings and assessments.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • BS/BA in a mental health or human services field, with two years of direct experience.
  • Call center and crisis experience preferred.
