Job summary

Greater Erie Community Action Committee is seeking Protective Services Caseworkers to manage crisis intervention, direct client services, and care plan reassessment. The role requires a relevant bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of aging casework experience, with preferred crisis services or law enforcement exposure.

Candidates should be able to gather and analyze factors contributing to crises, work under supervision, and use MS Office and collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sociology, social work/welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related behavioral sciences.
• 1-2 years of aging casework experience, with crisis services or law enforcement preferred.
• Ability to gather and analyze information on physical, psychological, and social factors contributing to crises.

Responsibilities

• Take reports for crisis intervention and provide direct services to at-risk clients.
• Periodically reassess care plans and make referrals as needed.
• Provide general counseling and coordinate with community resources.
• Maintain on-call duties and ability to transport equipment as required.
