Job summary

Pawnee Mental Health is seeking a dedicated Crisis Staff member to support Crisis Services operations. You will coordinate supply orders, manage data reporting, and assist leadership with daily workflows, ensuring compliant procurement and seamless program operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, maintaining files, and supporting post-crisis follow-ups in collaboration with clinical staff. A bachelor’s degree in human services and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication in English.
  • Basic computer skills for entry, retrieval, and use of electronic data.
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance per Pawnee policy.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track all supply orders and inventory to ensure uninterrupted program operations.
  • Maintain compliance with agency procurement and budgetary standards.
  • Monitor departmental expenses and assist with budget reporting and reconciliation.
  • Serve as primary liaison between Crisis Services and Business Office for purchasing, invoicing, and vendor communication.
  • Collect, maintain, and compile accurate data related to program services and operations.
  • Prepare and submit internal and external reports (monthly, quarterly, grant-related).
  • Support audit readiness and compliance tracking.
  • Assist leadership and direct service staff with day-to-day Crisis Services operations.
  • Coordinate meetings, trainings, staff schedules, and departmental communications.
  • Maintain program files, manuals, and onboarding materials.
  • Bridge communications between administrative functions and frontline staff.
  • Support documentation and scheduling of post-crisis follow-ups with clinical team.

What You'll Do
Essential Responsibilities
Procurement, Budget, & Supply Chain Management
  • Coordinate and track all supply orders and inventory to ensure uninterrupted program operations
  • Maintain compliance with agency procurement and budgetary standards
  • Monitor departmental expenses and assist with budget reporting and reconciliation
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Crisis Services and the Business Office for purchasing, invoicing, and vendor communication
Data Collection & Reporting
  • Collect, maintain, and compile accurate data related to program services and operations
  • Prepare and submit internal and external reports, including monthly, quarterly, and grant-related documentation
  • Support audit readiness and compliance tracking
Program & Operations Support
  • Assist leadership and direct service staff with the day-to-day operations of the Crisis Services department
  • Coordinate meetings, trainings, staff schedules, and departmental communications
  • Maintain program files, procedural manuals, and onboarding materials
  • Serve as a communication bridge between administrative functions and frontline staff
Care Coordination & Discharge Support
  • Serve as backup to the Hospital Care Coordinator for inpatient psychiatric hospital care coordination and discharge appointment scheduling, providing coverage and support as assigned or when the coordinator is unavailable
  • Support documentation and scheduling of post-crisis follow-ups in coordination with the Hospital Care Coordinator and clinical team
  • Work collaboratively with the Hospital Care Coordinator, clinical and case management staff to ensure continuity of care and timely resource connection
Crisis Staff Expectations
  • Complete and stay current on required training for the position.
  • Adhere to the standards, policies and instructions established by PMHS Policy and Procedure and any applicable ethical codes within field of employment.
  • Review and comply with the Pawnee Code of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform all other reasonably related duties assigned by immediate supervisor or other management personnel.
  • Will support other staff members as needed which will be outside of typical job duties.
  • Can carry out all job duties with minimal supervision.
  • Will also be required to coordinate services between agencies
Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or equivalent work experience, or a combination of work experience in the human services field and education with one year of experience substituting for one year of education.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language.
  • Basic personal computer skills which enable the entry, retrieval, and use of electronic data.
  • A valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy and procedure.

Results of criminal and all other applicable background checks must meet the approval of Pawnee Mental Health Services.

Preferred
  • Knowledge of the needs and challenges of adults and children who experience Severe and Persistent Mental Illness and Severe Emotional Disturbance preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software preferred.
